Have you noticed that no-one is ever interested in the big thing any more. Now all the focus is placed on the 'Next Big Thing'. They are all of a sudden in the spotlight and everyone is like "are they the next big thing", while the current big thing is like "hang on I'm the big thing now, focus on ME!" but of course they aren't in the spotlight so they become the 'last big thing', a dreaded title if their ever was one. However though if you think about this, this means that the 'Next Big Thing' is actually 'The Current Big Thing' because they are getting all the attention, which means that they are immediately automatically made into the "last big thing". So this follows that the 'Next Big Thing' can never stay the same thing for the period of week. Which is the time it takes before next weeks magazine telling us who is the 'Next Big Thing' comes out.
Except in these days of instant communication those magazines have websites, which are updating every few hours. Therefore shortening the period of being the 'Next Big Thing' to a few hours. And as internet technology gets better then the magazine website updates quicker, so eventually we will be left with the 'Next Big Thing' changing once every time a new piece of bad writing and trashy photos are stuck together to form an article. Seeing as it only takes 10 seconds to do this, the 'Next Big Thing' will change at a rate of once every ten seconds. Now changing as it does every ten seconds, the 'Next Big Thing' will run out of things very quickly. Therefore everyone in the world will eventually get chance to be 'Next Big Thing'. As their are 6 billion people in the world. that means that it takes 60 billion seconds for everyone in the world to be the 'Next Big Thing' once. 60 billion seconds works out to be 1902 years, 214 days, 10 hours, 39 minutes, and 59 seconds. So in just over 1902 years the chances are I will have had my 10 seconds of being the 'Next Big Thing'. Except by that time I will be dead. which kinda sucks.
