So I just had my last exam for two weeks, which is nice, and it was kinda okay really, apart from I ran out of time... so the last question was "Explain what is meant by 'Mystical Experience' and assess the view that mystical experience is an essential part of a believers life." So I did the explain mystical experience bit quite easily. But then came the second bit and it was all like...
Little Voice in my head: "Oh you could compare how marriage is like mystical experiences"
Me in my head: "Huh?"
Voice: "Well think about it, the mystical experience is like the lust at the start of the marriage, then it wears off a bit and other things have to take it's place. And some marriages work without the lust, just like religiousness can work without mystical experiences"
Me: "Oh I see, kinda, sure why not, I've got no better ideas"
writes about four lines
Teacher dude: "you have five minutes"
Me: "crumbs"
Voice: "it's okay just finish it off"
Me: "write write write"
On paper it says: "and the lust of marriage wears of in time and it needs other factors to keep it going, such as companionship, this is like religious life and mystical experience because..."
Teacher: "Time is up, stop writing please"
Me: "Crikey"
Voice: "oh well eh, nevermind"
Me: "That'll teach me to listen to voices in my head"
HUNDRED REASONS TONIGHT. WOOHOO!!
