The Osworths

I saw the funniest thing early. It was a script for a new BBC drama called "the osworths"

Episode 1: scene one

family sitting round a table

Mr. Norman Osworth: "so son, had a good day at school?"

Jimmy Osworth: "Oh not much dad, I got an A on my French test though"

Mrs. Janet Osworth: "oh well done, have some more cake"

Jimmy O: "no thanks I'm full"

Mrs. O starts to put the dishes away

Suzy Osworth: "oh let me get that mum"

auidence laugh, camera fades out

scene 2

In hall/staircase area of house, Mr. O climbing the stairs as he talks

Mr. O: "well I'm off to bed, I've got a long day at the office tomorrow"

Mrs. O: "you haven't seen the cat have you dearest?"

Mr. O: "no sorry honey, shall I got look for it in the bushes with a stick?"

Mrs. O: "no it's okay I'll just leave the cat flap open"

Mr. O: "well then I'm off to have a quick bath"

auidence laugh, camera fades out

scene 3

Mr. O's on the couch watching the tv

Mr. O: "Blast, how can I get this thing of Classic Rock and onto the weather channel?"presses random buttons, brings up teletext/interactive thingy

Jimmy walks past

Mr. O: "Jimmy how do you get the tv off this darn racket and onto the the weather channel?"

Jimmy O: "press the red button, then press 149"

Mr. O: "thanks son"

Jimmy O: "that's okay, now I'm off to get drunk, take drugs and generally partake in rock and roll debaurchary"

Mr. O: "that's nice... whhattt???"

Jimmy O: "only joking dad!"

Mr. O: "ooh you got me there... Hahahhaaahah"

Jimmy O: "hahhaahaha"

all laugh

Auidence applaud, camera fades out

the end
