Track Back Spam...

Right, boring theoretical idea of a blog, that's half me testing out this trackback thing-a-majig and half me thinking of ways it could be abused.
First as I imagine absolutely none of you know what trackback is, I'll explain it very simpley...
Someone writes something interesting over on some far away website, and I decide that I want to write something on my own website with reference to what they wrote. I use the trackback thing and then on the other guys site a little link and a excerpt of my blog will pop up with something like "this guy wrote a blog about your blog, and here's the link and here's a little excerpt". It's the whole link nature of the web with extra widdly bits. Anyway enough ranting about that, go here to find out more about it...
But getting to my actual input on the subject not just me rehashing what I know about it, I'm wondering when the first trackback spam comes along. There is no-way of dictating who can trackback to you, and I've already seen people trackingback to other peoples blogs about completely off topic things. For example the other day I saw on some cookery page one of the track back links was a link to a blog about website coding. Already you can get web-bots that trawl through websites getting e-mail addresses, so in the same way surely you can grab the trackback info. Then it would be just a simple matter of trackingback (I have no idea if that's the correct gramatical usage of the term) to you, but instead of with relevant stuff about what you rwrote, with spam mail. Just a thought...
