Grounded For Life

I wasn't going to blog for the rest of this evening, honest. But I feel urged to after watching perhaps the worst sitcom I have seen outside of trouble for a long long time. The sitcom is called "grounded for life" and Fox (for that is who does it all in the states) describe it on their site as

Raising kids can be tough. It's even harder when they're really raising you! From the producers of That '70s Show (most excellent) and some other stupid shows no-one has heard of comes an all-new comedy about the art of raising parents (haha see what they did there?).
Donal Logue (The Tao of Steve (What??), The Patriot) stars as Sean Finnerty, a young dad trying to raise three kids while keeping his beautiful (I wouldn't say beautiful) wife (Megyn Price, Mystery, Alaska), overly critical father and loitering brother at bay. Married at 18, Sean works in construction in New York City while dealing with his now 14-year-old daughter and two young boys who attend Catholic schools.
This new, light-hearted comedy tackles the tough role of being the young (He's 34), cool (He has a beard) dad, while coping with adult not-so-cool responsibilities.

This sitcom is rubbish. If you see it, run run!. sample dialogue...
annoying brother: what happened to the last beer?
annoying wife:I'm drinking it!
annoying brother:Incredibly annoying laugh track:HAHHAHAHAHA!
But that's why I hid it in the back!!
Incredibly annoying laugh track:HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

It got no better.
It's not that the acting is bad, (it's actually better than most sitcoms) but the premise and the dialogue is rubbish. I mean seriously if you where 34 and married with kids would you still want to go out and get drunk and vomit all over the floor? So why do this couple? Ahh I don't know it's just worthless...

Unlike however,
timmy turner
Fairly Oddparents
which was hilarious and is on cbbc every wednesday at 4:00 I think. Now that's a good tv show!

Right Now

I think that Grounded For Life is brilliant it is just so cheesy and it doesn't show the perfect families that most sitcoms show it gives perfect families an insight into what my family is like.
