I tell you the truth, the infidels have made no website

I was going to post part II of "how to make your own cult", but instead I found something that's far more interesting. Via Brown Pau the Iraqi Information Minister has a fansite!
Sample true quotes "It has been rumored that we have fired scud missiles into Kuwait. I am here now to tell you, we do not have any scud missiles and I don't know why they were fired into Kuwait." "They are superpower of villains. They are superpower of Al Capone." "There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!"

Seboooo

It doesnt seem to be there anymore

Oops, I think all the nerds linking to it caused it to die a messy death of bandwidthlackingness

Sebooo

Nope cause then it would try to load. This however goes straight to PCBD, which to me indicates meggaaa busted

Seboooo

I was correct. They had to shut it down due to many linkages

sparticus

That's what I meant... they died because everyone linked to them and they couldn't cope with the bandwidth. Okay so it was more severe than I thought, I just thought they'd gone over their bandwidth limit, not actually incapacited the server. But it's the same sorta thing. The Geeks called it slashdotted because if a website like slash dot links to you then everyone clicks on the link and brings your page down due to the amount of traffic that you get.

They're selling mugs & T shirts and stuff to pay for their new server... I would get one, except it's shipped from the US :P

The story of it crashing: http://edition.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/04/12/offbeat.minister.site.ap/

Now it seems like he may have commited suicide.
