Romantic Gestures

<<< Previous Entry: Recommend a Restaurant | This Month's entries | Next Entry: In Lieu >>

I'm still looking for resturants in Swansea (see below), but I had just had to post this. You know when you see a really romantic gesture and you think "the whole world should be told of this feat"? Well here is something that'll warm your heart. I saw this in a shop window and thought, if only someone loved me enough so that they'd be willing to splash out this sort of money on me.

Right Now

(8) Ellie's Fantastic Mini-Disc Compilation (well fantastic apart from stinkcubus)
(t) Sarah
(ie) Seemingly slightly dubious reading festival tickets pre-sale

Mr.Moony

Who is the girl?

Sparticus

Which one? Sandi? Ellie? Sarah? The one i'm taking out to dinner? The cute new doctor in er?

Mr.Moony

You know damn well i meant the girl you are wining and dining

Sparticus

Restaurant recommendations first please.

Mr.Moony

Bella Napolea @ top of Wind Street. Very authentic italian food, nice pizza's also. And 95% of the waiters are actually italian. Went there last week and had a very nice pizza. Possibly worth a look into if nothing else.

Benjamin

Email, mark!!!

I suggest Pizza Hut. Hmmmm lovely!

And I'd like to know who Sarah is :)

Sparticus

There we go! Thank you Seb, and Ben it would be nice if you didn't fill up comments with matters completely unrelated to blogs. That is what e-mail is for.

Anyway, I'm taking my friend Ellie out, for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to) her going to Swansea uni next year and me thinking that I'm only home in Swansea for a few days, but I'm sure I'll get bored.

Benjamin

Pizza Hut is a restaurant. It was a related comment! OK so my other one wasn't, but hey gotta attract your attention somehow...

Yeah a few days in Swanea makes anyone bored, which is why I'm only gonna go back there for about 2 weeks during our easter holidays :)

David

cute new doctor in er? i only have eyes for maura tierney who rocks my world.

Mr.Moony

Ellie as in Catrins (spelling) sister? Or a completely non related to her Ellie

Sparticus

Wow, I'd completely forgotten about Catrin's sister. Not in a bad way, just in an "old friend's sister whom I never really in the first place" way. So no, it's not here, and yes it is another one.
As for the doctor/intern in er...

Benjamin

Six Feet Under?

sandi

thanks but sorry there's no prize for guessing the name

Mr.Moony

There should be!

sandi

too late now, we all know what it was

Rhys

I don't think that anyone's recommended Caffe Angeletto yet, have they? http://www.caffe-angeletto.co.uk/ . Best Italian restaurant in Swansea, slap bang in the city centre, and not that expensive either compared to some places. You'll probably need to book about a fortnight in advance though, but who knows, you might be lucky.

Mr.Moony

Pizza Hut.

Benjamin

I think Pizza Hut gets the most votes then! :)

Mr.Moony

Although...deep pan pizza isnt without its charms.

Rhys

Gah, Deep Pan/Pizza Hut just serve commoditised pseudo-Italian food, pre-packaged and pre-processed, so that it's just convincing enough as something Italians might possibly eat on a bad day when they've only got sardines left in the cupboard.

Now Caffe Angeletto, on the other hand, is the Real Thing, run by an Actual Italian and his family, with food to match.

Goodness knows why I'm promoting it here though; it's packed out enough as it is...

Benjamin

Yeah, but Pizza Hut do unlimited coke! Although 7 glasses of the stuff somewhat disrupted a film I went to see straight after it....

kath conte

of caffe angeletto. How right is Rhys.
